When is Teeth Straightening needed?

Straightening of the teeth is recommended to improve the ‘orofacial’ appearance of the patient’s teeth.

Our teeth straightening procedures can help correct:

  • Crooked teeth
  • Protruding teeth
  • Crowded teeth
  • Jaw disorders
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Malocclusion (top and bottom teeth not fitting together)

Braces

What are my options for teeth straightening?

We offer two different procedures which can help straighten your teeth or your children’s teeth – traditional braces or Invisalign. Both have their benefits and the choice can depend on many factors:

Braces

Braces are metal or resin brackets that attach to the front of your teeth. Braces are attached permanently, and patients usually need to have braces for about 2 years to correct their dental issues. Braces are better for fixing complex dental issues. They work faster than Invisalign to correct your issues and leave you with a beautiful, straight smile sooner.

Invisalign

Invisalign is the latest in teeth-straightening technology. It involves taking a custom, computer generated clear tray to wear over your teeth and help straighten them into place. It can help patients with their confidence as they are ‘invisible’ and significantly less noticeable than traditional braces. Since there is no metal brackets or wires in Invisalign, this option is more comfortable and easier to clean.

How much do braces or Invisalign cost?

The cost of either of these procedures depends on a number of factors including which procedure you go with, how severe your dental issue is, how long you need to have these procedures in place, and any dental insurance coverage you may have.
